Market Yard Slalom 17th July

This is an advert for Market Yard Slalom next Sunday. Firstly we need people to race and is ideal for those getting started in the sport to broaden their paddling experience. This is one of the events that have been presented to Sport England where we can increase participation, having recently taken delivery of all these shiny new boats. It's all about bums on seats, or rather bums in boats. There is a rumour that Graham is coming out of retirement to race. Although not actually "getting started", if Graham can do it ...

Secondly we need helpers for the event. We need particularly, Starter, Finisher, Judges, Safety, Boat Marshall. If you can help please PM me, or send me an email, or let Pam know.

Here are the results and pictures. A big thank you to all who took part, particularly those who had not raced before. Also to everyone who helped. Congratulations to Ellie Howell and to Jack Smiles who won their respective div 4 events and together with Richard Heal gaining promotion to div 3.
