Will it still be ok to paddle up and down the rest of the river?

Yes of course it will be. You could always have a go in the slalom and surprise yourself!

Well I thought it would never happen, thanks to the rain and the traffic snarl up around Rode. But we got there. Thanks to Vicky for timing - you must have run miles between Start and Finish. And to Ben and Andrew for judging. And as ever, Alex for the pictures. Results here.

The rain has returned, it must be time for the second Langham Farm Minislalom. This Friday 8th July, practice from 6.30, runs from 7.30. 9 gates still but with one less upstream. Oh, and a harder stagger. Jack Smiles is the one to beat.

Second race, 8th July. Overall winner again was Jack Smiles, by 1 second from Andy Vowell. Jack they're getting closer. Comment from Andy - there should be an under 20's handicap. Totally agree. And an under XX's. First female was Kyra Brake. We had a C2 entry this time. Andy had brought his 1970's C2 with cockpits at each end. What a struggle he and Andy Avery had turning it through the upstreams on a flat course. Results here and pictures here. Thanks to Megan, Alun and Andrew for judging and timing. And to Alex for the pictures.
