Sounds like last weekend was epic, with possibly all three arches running?? Water level currently just on the slab, and looks like it may stay that way towards the end of the week. Last week the long range forecast was showing heavy rain Fri/Sat, but this seems to have now moved earlier to Thursday ... so fingers crossed for a bit of drizzle to keep the level topped up over the weekend Can't wait ;D

Hopefully not too much water next weekend! As I posted elsewhere, it peaked above the 3rd level yesterday. A few years ago there was torrential rain overnight with all three arches running in the morning and only 2 from our group got on. And not many others either.

Hopefully not too much water next weekend! Amen to that ... obvoiusly the long range forecast can all change between now and Sat, but currently its looking stable over the weekend, So that's the best thing. Just hope the level stays up at a "sporting" level near the slab ... but I suspect it may fall below that.

;D Well all I can add is history....it was well and truly thumping through over last weekend...very big and brown early Sunday morning. The levels hopefully will just be alright next week as by the end of the week the rain eases a bit to a steady drizzel. Well I am off to Northern Germany were they haven't any river with a gradient steeper than 1:5000. Have a great weekend of paddling. Give my best regards to everyone. cheers for now, Pip

The Dart Camera has moved. So now: - you can't see the black line that is "level with slab" - the white three line gauge has also moved up, so now has to be ignored until reset. EDIT .. I take it back ... the cameras been reset ... Dart is currently just on the ledge mark ... And light rain forecast overnight and tomorow to keep the level up ;D Chucking it down Sat evening

I'm at severe risk of talking to myself becoming a habit ... but never mind. What a superb weekend. On the Slab Sat, and 3 inches higher on the gauge on Sunday. Perfect. Many thanks to Pam for looking after us so well. (and to SamC for reminding me I need to buy some of these ... )
I posted up about the "missing item" over here, but no replies. Any news on other places it could have been handed in?

So who broke their paddles then? Strictly speaking someone should have had a spare set but you could walk out from the Loop if you really had to. When I went to the Pyrenees earlier in the year, many of the gorges you could not climb up the rock cliffs. And there is no way 2-piece Ottersports paddles will fit into a modern river boat we found! We looked after the 7am run of the Upper yesterday but did not find them.

So who broke their paddles then? Obviously I was been too subtle. I'm glad to report that no one broke a paddle ... enough said. We looked after the 7am run of the Upper yesterday but did not find them. Yep, we had a pretty good search by torchlight in the gathering gloom of Sat evening ... so just hope they turn up somewhere
